MABOI is in the process of updating our membership roster.  This information assists us in a variety of ways including simplifying our membership renewals and providing needed data for applications and decisions.  MABOI will use some of the data collected in this survey to plan future training opportunities and apply for merit opportunities that assist in paying for training opportunities (which in turn reduces the cost of events to our members).  MABOI does not share our specific members data with anyone.

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the survey below.  Then, take some time to ensure everyone else in your office that is or should be a MABOI member completes the survey.

In the future, we will be auditing membership information at educational seminars.  Having this information now, will reduce the time required completing the information at those training events.

MABOI Membership — In a discussion at the ICC 2016 Conference, the lack of Midwest people being involved in ICC activities was mentioned.  Below is an opportunity to use your intelligence to the betterment of the ICC.  The organization is looking for members to join the Certification Exam Development Committees.

Take a look and see if that is something in which you are interested.

Contribute to the Development of ICC Certification Exams Share your expertise and help ensure the credibility and validity of International Code Council Certifications by serving on an Exam Development Committee. The following committees will have seats available for three-year terms to begin on Jan. 1: Accessibility Certified Building Official Commercial Building Commercial Fire Alarm Electrical Energy Fire Services Green Building Mechanical Permit Technician Plumbing/Fuel Gas Property Maintenance/Zoning Reinforced/Prestressed Concrete Residential Building Soils Special Inspector Structural Masonry Structural Steel These committees oversee the development of various exams, however no testing experience is required. Committee members typically meet for one in-person meeting that runs two to three days and multiple Web conferences throughout the year.

Why should you join an exam development committee? This note is being sent to all SAVE members as part of a complete review of Coalition membership.  We need to determine whether you’re an active SAVE member, and whether you’re enrolled in Show-Me Response, our deployment database.  Details on some members are out of date; we want to confirm active members and their information so we’re ready in case an emergency deployment is needed.

Are you enrolled in the Show-Me Response database?  All active members are now required to have an account in this database; it allows you to update contact information, and us to immediately contact you in an emergency.  This is also the only database SAVE will use for communication going forward.  Please create an account at https://showmeresponse.org/. If you already have an account, please log in and confirm your information.  Select “SAVE Coalition” as your organization.  Be sure to fill out the fields completely (all phone numbers, email, mailing address, driver’s license number, height/weight/hair color/eye color, etc.  We don’t need your social security number, though.  This database is secure; we don’t share your information with any outside sources.

Is your membership expired?  All SAVE memberships last three years; your expiration date is on your card.  If you are expired, you can attend an upcoming class to get re-certified.  Register here:  http://on.mo.gov/2bmhqmB.  If you haven’t expired yet, you have the option of taking a re-certification test online at http://on.mo.gov/2bdlBUG.
