Question – Length of Dryer Vents

Bob Barclay has the following question:

I have been told by a mechanical contractor that many local jurisdictions have made amendments to section M1502.4.4.1 of the IRC regarding allowable lengths for dryer vents.  His comment was that the allowable lengths have been increased to 35 and 40 ft. for some cities although I cannot find any documentation to confirm this.  Is it possible to solicit other MABOI members regarding this issue?

Please respond to him directly at [email protected].
