A new group has been formed for fire and code enforcement members that use Bluebeam for plan review.  The group was created when several fire marshals purchased the software and informally got together to share what they had learned while getting up and running.  Our group is growing and would like to extend an invitation to all municipal code enforcement and fire department members that use Bluebeam in their position or non-users who are considering making the switch to electronic plan review. 

We meet quarterly, in person, at West County EMS and Fire Protection District’s Training Center, located at 13790 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO 63011.  The dates for this year are February 16, May 18, August 17, and November 16.  The meetings start at 1:00 pm and usually last for a couple of hours.  We try to have at least two topics for training, one for novices and another for more experienced users.  We share tips and tricks, best practices, and sometimes, what we’ve learned not to do.  We plan to incorporate a way to attend virtually, so you don’t necessarily need to be from the STL metro area to participate.

***MABOI members attending will have access to the pistol range at a reduced rate of $10 per hour per person. The shot gun range will also be available (weather depending) for trap and skeet at the reduced rate of $6.50 per 25 targets. Feel free to bring your own firearms, ammunition along with hearing and eye protection. Although, the range has also agreed to let us use their rental firearms at no cost. If you need ammunition the range will have it available for purchase. MABOI will provide a catered meal and beverages to current MABOI members and one guest who have registered to attend by rsvp. Please adhere to any applicable St Louis County guidelines for social distancing.

***All firearms must be handled with caution at all times and in full compliance with the rules and regulations of Gateway Gun Club.
