The City of Bridgeton, Missouri, is accepting applications for the position of Public
Works Inspector. This position is responsible for the inspection of all public
improvements associated with residential, commercial and industrial developments, as
well as capital improvement projects. Insures that all public improvements within the
City are constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, City
standards, and State and County specifications. Inspects all work performed within
public right-of-way, monitors all grading activity within the City, and performs other
duties as assigned. Must possess considerable knowledge of public works construction
standards. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of
four years of increasingly responsible equivalent or related experience. Valid driver’s
license is required. Salary range is $49,800 to $68,900 annually depending on
qualifications and experience. The City also offers an excellent benefits package. All
