Welcome Letter from the incoming MABOI President

PRESIDENT (2021-2022)
Gregory B. Tate, MCP, CBO

Dear MABOI members,

MABOI continues to be the regional leader in providing low-cost Building and Fire Code training opportunities benefiting our membership for more than 65 years. MABOI’s primary mission has always been to be an educational outlet to make sure members are familiar with the latest codes, various changes and to provide the knowledge of how to enforce these codes. We shall continue to offer our training grant/scholarship program to assist those who qualify. It is my personal goal to make sure that we offer the training events that will help our valued members the most. Please feel free to offer any training topic suggestions for consideration by our Education Chairman. We will also continue to provide a no-cost full-day of training in September of 2022.

MABOI is a volunteer organization and always welcomes new people, thoughts, and visions so please consider volunteering to serve on a committee to offer your insight for the betterment of the organization.

In 2022 we are preparing to enhance our education schedule more so as it was pre-pandemic. We fully intend to offer more frequent in-person training opportunities and if that remains limited due to the lingering pandemic, we shall offer virtual training opportunities.

I have been on the MABOI Board of Directors for over 20 years and have a sincere pride for what this organization has done in the past and will do in the coming years. I am certain that 2022 will be another great year for the MABOI organization. Please let us know if we can help you in any way.

Sincerely,

Gregory B. Tate
