BUILDING INSPECTOR SENIOR

BUILDING DEPARTMENT 

Salary Range: $62,022 – $66,543 or DOQ

Civilian Pay Grade: 13

FLSA Status: Exempt

 JOB SUMMARY FOR THE BUILDING INSPECTOR SENIOR POSITION:

The Building Inspector Senior will perform complex skilled technical work inspecting properties and reviewing plans for compliance with City codes, and related work as apparent or assigned. The work of the Building Inspector Senior is performed under the limited supervision of the Building/Zoning Administrator. BUILDING INSPECTOR SENIOR JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education Requirement: The Building Inspector Senior position requires a High school diploma or GED and extensive experience in building inspections and plan review.

Certifications Required: The Building Inspector Senior position requires International Code Council (ICC) certifications for Plans Examiner for International Building & Residential Codes, 1 & 2 Family Building Inspector, Building Inspector, and Commercial Building Inspector. A valid driver’s license is also required for the Building Inspector Senior position.
