DESCRIPTION:MABFO has scheduled an upcoming training event in Columbia\, MO on May 8th. \nGiven the number of communities with aging and historic housing stock\, we thought this class would serve our members very well. It will offer ICC CEU’s and is being taught by Tim Ryan! \nThis is a great class for communities and design professionals looking for permitting solutions for older building stock or older downtowns. \nThis class is offered Virtually also and a link will be sent to registrants prior to the event date. \nThis seminar will introduce critical concepts of the 2024 International Existing Building Code (IEBC). It will provide a basis for the correct use and application of the code. After ten years I accepted a position as General  Manager for a Kansas City based Firestop Specialty Contractor and helped broaden our scope of work into Steel Protection\, and Endothermic fire protection. \nIn 2015 I joined Hilti\, as a Fire Protection Specialist. This role had a primary focus of providing fire protection education as well as product technical support to contractors\, building owners and Architects. In 2018 I took the role of Fire Protection Product Manager for Hilti North America.
