SUMMARY:Plan Review I

DESCRIPTION:This seminar is MABOI’s annual free seminar and the election of officers. \n\n\n\nA Day of NFPA  \n\n\n\n\nOverview of NFPA and the NFPA standards-development process\n\n\n\nNFPA 855 for Stationary Energy Storage Systems\, and the hazards of lithium-ion batteries\n\n\n\nNFPA 241 for construction/demolition/renovation-site fire safety\, and recent large fires in buildings under construction\n\n\n\nAn open discussion with the audience about code adoptions\, including adoptions at the state and local levels; developing local amendments; and trying to move more toward consistency among jurisdictions to adopt similar editions of the codes. (NOTE: For this part of the presentation\, I also reached out to the MO State Fire Marshal’s Office\, who may be able to send someone to attend\, and give the State FMO’s perspective on this topic as well)  \n\n\n\nOverview of NFPA 80 (Fire Doors and Opening Protectives)\, NFPA 105 (Smoke Door Assemblies & Opening Protectives)\, and NFPA 92 (Smoke Control Systems).\n\n\n\nGeneral NFPA Updates – NFPA LiNK; New NFPA website; other helpful NFPA resources\n\n\n\n\nInstructor \n\n\n\nBob Sullivan\, CFPS Southwest Regional Director | NFPA \n\n\n\nBagels and coffee for breakfast.
