The IAEI staff and IAEI representatives on the NFPA NEC Code Making Panels have worked together to develop a quality seminar program that will provide information about code changes covering the safe installation and use of electrical products pertaining to the 2011 and 2014 National Electrical Code.
This course is designed to cover the major changes in the National Electrical Code for the 2011/2014 code cycle.
Attendees registering by May 2, 2016, will have the option to obtain a copy of the IAEI’s Analysis of Changes, 2014 NEC at a cost of $50 (regularly $68.50).
Joseph Wages, Jr., is the Technical Advisor, Education, Codes and Standards for IAEI. He previously served as the Education, Codes and Standards Coordinator for the past 3 years for the IAEI. He represents IAEI on NFPA’s NEC CMP-3. He also serves on the UL Electrical Council and on several UL Technical Standard Panels. He is an ICC Certified Building Official and holds certifications as building plans examiner, building inspector, chief building code analyst and one and two family dwelling inspector. He is also an IAEI Certified Electrical Inspector for one- and two-family dwellings. Joseph served on the State of Arkansas Apprenticeship Coordinating Steering Committee for four years. Prior to his employment at IAEI, Joseph was Chief Electrical Inspector of Siloam Springs, Arkansas for 15 years. He served as Secretary/Treasurer and Education Chairman for the IAEI Arkansas Chapter from 2008 – 2012. Wages is also a past-president for the Arkansas Chapter. He is a graduate of both the University of Arkansas/Fort Smith and the Northwest Technical Institute Arkansas Construction Education Foundation (ACEF) Apprenticeship Program. Joseph holds a master electrical license and has taught electrical apprenticeship training programs for the ACEF and electrical training seminars for the IAEI Arkansas Chapter. Joseph is currently an instructor for the International Office of IAEI.
