New Website for a New Era…

Sunday marks the start of the Missouri Association of Building and Fire Officials (MABFO) 2015 Education Seminar. Nicknamed the “MEGA-Conference”, the event combines the efforts of 8 professional organizations across the state of Missouri.

MABOI thought this monumental event would be a great opportunity for a couple changes:

First, we are launching a new website. The site attempts to simplify finding the information you want, when you want it.

Secondly, e-mail blasts will occur only once a day and only if there is any information to e-mailed out. The days of multiple e-mails going out during a day are over. Now, e-mails will deliver conveniently to your inbox at 8am when MABOI sends information out.

As always, you can find out information on Facebook as well.

We hope you enjoy the new changes, and we hope to see you at the conference.

Proposed MABOI ByLaw Changes

maboi-logoThe MABOI Board of Directors voted during the June 2015 to approve a proposed revision of the ByLaws of the organization.  The next step is a vote by membership, which will be held during lunch at the September 17, 2015 election.

The following outlines the major proposed changes:

  1. Expanding the method of providing notice
  2. Expansion of the duties of the Auditing Committee
  3. Creating a Technology Committee
  4. Modernizing some language and abilities
  5. Clarification of confusing or contradictory language
  6. Changing some dates to better reflect current strategies

A complete copy of the by-laws showing changes can be found at the following link:

“Mega Conference” | July 27-29, 2015

For those of you interested in reserving your room, the room code is “FMAM.”
