COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Attend a workshop that focuses on wood framed wall bracing
requirements of the 2015 International Residential Code. This
workshop will cover topics such as the effects of wind and seismic
forces, prescriptive solutions for bracing, narrow wall alternatives,
and engineered solutions. Special attention will be given to problem
areas such as great rooms and large openings. The workshop will be
taught by a team of technical representatives from Simpson StrongTie.
This class targets engineers, architects, designers, code officials,
and contractors that work predominantly with wood framed
construction. The workshop will offer 4 hours of continuing education
credit.
