The City of Jefferson City, Missouri ‘s busy Planning & Protective Services Department seeks a professional, senior level director with a strong desire to manage a team of like-minded individuals tasked with moving the City Council’s vision forward in our community.  Being a leader of this team, you will be able to work closely with community partners in shaping, maintaining and protecting our neighborhoods, public buildings and transportation networks.  Divisions within this department include planning, zoning, building inspections, code enforcement, environmental health and redevelopment and grants.

With this professional position comes accountability that requires at least six years of progressively responsible related experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration, planning, civil engineering or related field. Candidates moving forward will have management know-how; key traits responsible for maintaining effective working relationships; excellent public speaking skills; and the talents to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the activities of an effective planning and building/code enforcement department.

Monthly salary is $6,815-$10,223 DOQ, plus an excellent employee benefits package, including paid health, dental, and life insurance. Applications will be accepted until February, 26, 2017.
