The City of Clayton is seeking a full-time Administrative Specialist to perform a wide variety of administrative tasks in the Building Division of the Planning and Development Department.  This position provides daily support at the customer service counter at City Hall, which includes greeting and directing customers, processing residential and commercial occupancy permits, accepting permit applications, processing payments, scheduling inspections, entering inspection data, processing daily mail, and producing letters for mailing.  Additional duties include filing and scheduling meetings.  Starting salary range is $36,000 – $39,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.  Full pay range is $33,975 – $46,885.  Qualifications:  High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum three years’ experience in a customer service related field, with knowledge of building permitting preferred; computer and filing skills are required, along with the ability to type and enter data accurately and maintain accurate records.  To apply, please visit our website at www.claytonmo.gov/jobs to complete our online application.  Applications are also available at City Hall, 10 N.
