THIS IS A COURSE THAT WILL EARN 0.6 CEUS OF PREFERRED PROVIDER TRAINING.
This program provides an in-depth look at the requirements of Sections 714 and 715 of the 2015 International Building Code for penetrations and fire-resistant joint systems installed in fire-resistance-rated assemblies. It will cover the protection of through- and membrane-penetrations, joint systems and perimeter fire containment systems. For each topic, the program includes a discussion of code requirements, the referenced standards, the testing process, the available methods of demonstrating code compliance, plan review considerations and the inspection process.
Rich Walke—Rich is a Senior Regulatory Engineer with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in Northbrook, IL.
